New York -- January 06, 2020
For many, January brings in new starts and new year’s resolutions. For home health agencies (HHAs), Jan. 1, 2020 marks the start of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) implementation of the Patient-Driven Groupings Model (PDGM) which aims to improve “payment categories and eliminates the use of therapy service thresholds.”
The previous system, the health care Prospective Payment System (PPS) ended on Dec. 31, 2019. If your agency is worried by these changes, don’t worry Carecenta can work with home health agencies (HHAs) of all sizes with the new reimbursement system, which also includes changes to OASIS coding as well.
